new blogger old blogger

What's the dif? Ok I admit I haven't read a thing about it, but now they're getting pushy about it. Do I need to sign up to some new google site in order to use new blogger? If I don't is my old blog going to go away and soon be inaccessible??

Why can't they just leave it as it is. It works perfectly fine - except for spammed up blogs.
