Extreme Blonde Moment

Although I have always considered myself a red head...hence the "carrot top" comments when I was a kid (FYI Carrot Tops are GREEN), as I've gotten older I've gotten a lot blonder. To the point where people usually describe me as a blonde.

That being the set up - here is the story.

This morning I found myself staring at a hard copy list of websites I have taped to my office wall right next to my monitor. I could only see the top half of the paper and wanted to see the bottom half. I'd stared at it for about 15 seconds, sitting in my office chair in front of my keyboard and monitor, my right hand on the mouse ..... before I realized I was trying to figure out how to scroll down the page!

Does it get worse than that?

Cute Story

I had taken a day off of work. Around 3-ish I walked the 4 blocks to my childrens school and walked them and a couple of neighbor boys (Patrick and Michael) home. Michael is just 5.

I turned one block early in heading for the boys home and we ended up on a brief detour. The older boy mentioned that his mom never walks this way because the house on the corner has pit bulls (say pit bull out loud quickly - it will help). Michael asked "they have what?" and Patrick replied "pit bulls." Michael asked again and we all said "pit bulls", to which he replied "oh".

We went on for the next block yammering about odds n ends, stopping to try to count the rings on fresh sawn tree stump, and just goofing off. Michael was quiet and walking a few paces behind us. About 1/2 block before we got to the boys house I heard Michael say "hm." So I asked him what was on his mind. His reply........ "I'm just wondering where they keep the hippos."

All this time after we passed that house, his little imagination is conjouring up images of Hippos living in that house where we said pit bulls live! Too adorable. Yes, I did explain that we weren't talking about Hippos. I would just love to have seen the pictures that he was imagining.

The End.
